As an Advisory Services Consultant on a contract basis, your main objective is to conduct a comprehensive analysis of Microsoft Exchange Online and Exchange On-Premises platforms with a focus on cost optimization, governance, and long-term infrastructure strategy. This analysis will involve evaluating technical features such as email hosting capabilities, user provisioning, and integrations. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting licensing and cost modeling comparing M365 plans to Server + CAL structure, as well as addressing scalability and hybrid support through migration planning and hybrid scenarios. To begin the process, you will conduct stakeholder interviews to understand current pain points and aspirations. This will be followed by creating a Bill of Material (BoM) model for both deployment types, simulating licensing scenarios under different models, and mapping infrastructure dependencies while estimating efforts required. Your responsibilities will also include conducting a software license audit which involves initial engagement and planning with the client to understand their specific needs and software environment. You will define the scope and objectives of the audit, establish a point of contact from both sides, and develop a detailed audit plan outlining the methodology, timeline, and deliverables. Data collection and analysis will involve working with the client to gather license agreements, purchase records, and installation reports. You will utilize data output from ManageEngine tool to discover installed software and analyze it against license entitlements to identify discrepancies or non-compliance. Finally, you will present preliminary findings to the client, compile a draft audit report detailing the audit findings, compliance status, and recommendations. You will also provide a detailed GAP Analysis Report for Microsoft deployments and deployment reports for major software installed in the network that require licenses in a corporate environment. Collaborating with the client to review and validate the draft report, you will provide a final audit report outlining actionable recommendations for improving license compliance, optimizing software usage, and reducing costs.,
