We are seeking a skilled Coating and Sandblasting Machine Operator to join our new manufacturing plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining sandblasting, coating, and polishing machines to ensure high-quality production of corrugating rolls. The ideal candidate should have experience in the turbine industry, specifically with high-velocity oxy-fuel (HVOF) coating processes on machined components, as well as sandblasting and polishing processes. A strong understanding of total productive maintenance (TPM), 5S, and ISO systems is essential. Excellent communication skills and good eyesight are also required. Key Responsibilities: 1. **Machine Operation:** - Operate sandblasting, coating, and polishing machines with precision. - Independently run and manage the high-velocity oxy-fuel (HVOF) coating machine. - Ensure all machines are operating at required speed and process parameters. 2. **Quality Control:** - Maintain high standards of quality in all machining processes. - Inspect and verify the quality of tungsten carbide coatings on steel rolls. - Adhere to all quality assurance protocols and ISO standards. 3. **Process Adherence:** - Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions meticulously. - Maintain accurate records of process parameters and production data. 4. **Total Productive Maintenance (TPM):** - Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machines. - Implement TPM practices to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency. - Participate in continuous improvement initiatives. 5. **5S Implementation:** - Maintain a clean and organized work environment according to 5S principles. - Ensure all tools and materials are properly stored and labeled. 6. **Safety and Compliance:** - Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines. - Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. 7. **Communication:** - Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors. - Report any issues or concerns promptly to the production manager. 8. **Training and Development:** - Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge. - Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technological advancements. Preferred Qualifications: - Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in machining or related field preferred. - **Experience:** Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a machining or manufacturing environment, preferably in the turbine industry. - Skills: - Proficient in operating sandblasting, coating, and polishing machines. - Expertise in high-velocity oxy-fuel (HVOF) coating techniques on machined components. - Strong understanding of total productive maintenance (TPM) and 5S principles. - Familiarity with ISO systems and quality assurance protocols. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. - Good eyesight and attention to detail. - **Personal Attributes: - Strong problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - High level of integrity and work ethic. **Physical Requirements:** - Ability to lift and move heavy objects - Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. - Ability to stand for extended periods. **Work Environment:** - Exposure to noise, dust, and other elements typical of a manufacturing environment. - Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
