Job Title: HVAC Design Engineer

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design of HVAC systems (heating, ventilation, air conditioning) for retail and commercial spaces.
• Perform heat load calculations using tools such as HAP or Carrier.
• Prepare layout drawings for ductwork, piping, and HVAC equipment using AutoCAD.
• Select appropriate HVAC equipment (AHUs, FCUs, VRF systems, exhaust fans, etc.)
• Coordinate with internal MEP teams, architects, and site engineers.
• Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, ISHRAE, NBC, and relevant local standards.
• Support in preparing BOQs, technical specifications, and other project documentation.
• Participate in design reviews and occasional site visits.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1-2 years of HVAC design experience in retail or commercial building projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit MEP is an advantage.
• Familiarity with HVAC design software such as HAP or E20 sheet.
• Good understanding of Indian and international HVAC codes and standards.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Good time management and task execution skills.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of energy-efficient HVAC systems (e.g., VRF, inverter-based, demand-controlled ventilation)
• Understanding of fire and smoke ventilation systems.
• Exposure to green building certification projects (LEED/IGBC) is a plus.
• Knowledge of Chilled water based HVAC system.
