Job Description

The HVAC / Clean Room Design Engineer develops complete designs for cleanroom and controlled-environment HVAC systems, including layouts, load calculations, equipment selection, and documentation for execution and validation.

Role & responsibilities

Prepare HVAC and cleanroom design deliverables: airflow diagrams, P&IDs, ducting and piping layouts, cleanroom zoning and pressurization schematics, and equipment selection (AHUs, chillers, pumps, exhaust systems, etc.).
Perform heat load, cooling load, and ventilation calculations, and determine air changes, pressure cascades, and filtration levels (HEPA/ULPA) as per required ISO class and GMP guidelines.

Prepare design drawings and documents: HVAC layouts, duct routing, piping layouts, equipment layouts, sections, schematic diagrams, and BOQs/technical specifications for tender and construction.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field like HVAC).
Entry to mid-level roles often ask for 1–5 years of experience in HVAC design; senior design engineers may require 5–10+ years with independent project handling.
Experience with specialized environments (cleanrooms, data centers, pharma, or industrial plants) is considered a strong advantage.
