HSE Officer

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Environmental Health Officer to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and promoting health and safety within the workplace. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental health and safety (EHS), along with expertise in relevant laws and regulations, including OSHA and EPA standards. The Environmental Health Officer will be responsible for conducting inspections, providing training, and implementing programs to enhance workplace safety and health.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure compliance with environmental health regulations.
• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs that promote a safe work environment.
• Provide training and development for employees on topics such as first aid, CPR, OSHA standards, and workers' compensation law.
• Perform root cause analysis for incidents and accidents to identify underlying issues and prevent recurrence.
• Prepare detailed reports documenting findings from inspections, investigations, and training sessions.
• Collaborate with management to develop strategies for improving occupational health practices within the organization.
• Stay updated on changes in environmental laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.

Requirements

• Proven experience in environmental health and safety roles, preferably within a manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of EPA regulations, OSHA standards, and workers' compensation law.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable.
• Excellent report writing skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
• Experience in training & development related to EHS topics.
• Familiarity with occupational health practices and principles.
