Job Summary:

The Housekeeping Staff is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in all areas of the hospital, including patient rooms, operating rooms, offices, public areas, and restrooms. Their work is critical to preventing infections and ensuring a comfortable and hygienic atmosphere for patients, visitors, and healthcare workers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, operating rooms, ICU, emergency rooms, and other assigned areas using approved hospital protocols.
• Empty trash bins and properly dispose of biomedical and hazardous waste.
• Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and sanitizer in restrooms and patient areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment (e.g., floor buffers, vacuum cleaners, steamers).
• Follow safety and infection control procedures at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness of high-touch surfaces (e.g., doorknobs, bed rails, switches).
• Respond promptly to spill clean-up and emergency cleaning requests.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department.
• Handle soiled linen and laundry according to hospital standards.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality of patient information.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in hospital or healthcare housekeeping is an advantage.
• Knowledge of cleaning and infection control practices.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Good physical stamina; ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods.
• Basic understanding of English or local language for communication.

Working Conditions:

• Work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals, bodily fluids, and hospital noise.
• Required to wear uniforms and PPE.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
