Role Overview: As a Housekeeping Assistant, your main responsibility will be to ensure that the cleanliness and maintenance of assigned areas meet the high standards set by the organization. You will be involved in cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, public areas, and facilities, as well as ensuring that all equipment and supplies are well-maintained and replenished. Key Responsibilities: - Clean and sanitize guest rooms, corridors, stairways, restrooms, and office spaces. - Make beds, change linens, and replenish amenities. - Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and fittings. - Vacuum carpets and floors, and remove debris or trash. - Monitor and maintain an adequate supply of cleaning materials and housekeeping supplies. - Assist in stocking linen and cleaning supplies. - Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and store linens and towels. - Adhere to health and safety standards, using appropriate chemicals and cleaning agents. - Provide excellent service to guests, responding to their requests or concerns promptly and professionally. - Assist in maintaining the general upkeep of the hotel or facility by reporting maintenance issues and performing additional tasks as directed. Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent preferred. - Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is an advantage. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. - Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 25-30 lbs). - Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety practices is a plus. Additional Company Details: The Housekeeping Assistant position is a full-time, permanent role that offers paid time off. You will be required to work day shifts and morning shifts, with availability for day shifts preferred. The work location is in person, and you should be willing to work in various weather conditions if required.
