Horticulture Officer

Spriggen Gardener provides garden maintenance services across multiple sites in Kochi. The Horticulture Officer will oversee the setup, care, and ongoing maintenance of these sites, leading a team of gardeners and interacting with clients to ensure contracted work is delivered to high standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical & Advisory

• Provide expert recommendations on the selection, procurement, planting, and maintenance of trees, shrubs, ground covers, and turf grasses.
• Develop maintenance programmes for plant health including disease control, soil management, pest management, and climate-related considerations.
• Prepare fertilizer and pesticide application schedules for different plant categories.
• Ensure proper irrigation and drainage systems are in place and functioning effectively.

Supervision & Team Management

• Supervise and train gardening staff in pruning, weeding, wound treatment, cavity repair, cabling, bracing, and overall plant care techniques.
• Create and manage daily/weekly work schedules for gardeners across multiple sites.
• Maintain accurate inventories, maps, and labeling of trees and shrubs for maintenance and instructional purposes.

Client & Site Management

• Coordinate with clients at multiple locations to ensure expectations are met and all contracted work is completed to satisfaction.
• Monitor site performance to ensure smooth operations and consistent service delivery, supporting Spriggen Gardener’s revenue and client retention goals.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture or Agriculture from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role involving horticulture supervision or garden maintenance management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹240,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per year
