HNI Manager

As a Tax Manager at EY, you will lead teams of Analysts, Seniors, and Assistant Managers, taking responsibility for client service delivery in a specific client, geography, area, or specialization. Reporting to a Senior Manager or Partner/Executive Director, you will play a key role in developing and coaching team members, ensuring effective resource deployment, and fostering collaborative relationships with clients and colleagues. - Review complex tax returns and prepare them for final sign-off - Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in tax technical knowledge relevant to U.S. individual, trust, and partnership returns, including understanding complex technical issues - Manage the engagement team and significant portions of the business - Set performance measurements and ensure performance goals such as engagement economics, turnaround time, and quality targets are achieved - Identify and promote new services that the sub-service line can offer at the GDS - Cross-sell extended services to clients and represent the sub-service line practice externally - Develop, mentor, and supervise Analysts, Advanced Analysts, Seniors, and Assistant Managers - Exhibit leadership qualities and executive presence - Communicate progress and project status to all stakeholders - Adhere to firm policies related to independence, confidentiality, privacy, client acceptance, engagement letters, tax return preparer guidelines, and knowledge-sharing - Consistently follow practice protocol and other internal processes To qualify for this role, you must have: - Certified EA or CPA - High proficiency in tax technical knowledge relevant to U.S. individual, trust, and partnership returns - Understanding of complex technical issues - Formal education in commerce/finance - Certified EA EY Global Delivery Services (GDS) is a global delivery network spanning six locations - Argentina, China, India, the Philippines, Poland, and the UK.
