As a Tax Manager at EY, you will lead teams of Analysts, Seniors, and Assistant Managers and be responsible for client service delivery for a particular client, geography, area, or specialization. Reporting to a Senior Manager, Partner, or Executive Director, you will assist the management team in developing and coaching team members, as well as ensuring effective resource deployment. You are expected to develop collaborative relationships with clients and colleagues. The opportunity at hand involves working on U.S. individual, trust, and partnership tax returns. Your key responsibilities will include reviewing complex tax returns, demonstrating a high level of proficiency in tax technical knowledge relevant to U.S. individual, trust, and partnership returns, managing the engagement team and business portions, setting performance measurements, identifying new services, cross-selling extended services to clients, representing the practice externally, mentoring team members, demonstrating leadership, and communicating project status to stakeholders. In terms of people responsibilities, you are expected to create and lead high-performing teams, lead by example, coach and mentor team members, and develop a flexible management style to meet diverse needs. To qualify for this role, you must possess tax technical knowledge relevant to U.S. individual, trust, and partnership returns, have a formal education in commerce/finance, and be a Certified EA or CPA. Additional skills required include effective communication skills, analytical abilities, numeric skills, and people management skills. The role requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance/commerce and at least 9 years of experience working with major global corporations.
