About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Mobile Applications Developer to join our automotive team. You will be responsible for designing and developing next-generation mobile applications tailored for automotive users enabling seamless connectivity, infotainment, and companion-app experiences for vehicles. This is a hands-on role where youll build high quality, efficient, and user-centric mobile apps for both iOS and Android.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms, targeting automotive/infotainment users.

• Use native technologies: Swift (and SwiftUI / Xcode) for iOS, Java or Kotlin (with Android Studio) for Android or cross-platform frameworks as appropriate.

• Collaborate with UX/UI designers, backend engineers, embedded system teams to define app features, architecture, user flows, and integration with vehicle services or backend systems.

• Integrate applications with backend services, APIs, and vehicle data middleware (or any automotive backend) to enable synchronization, data exchange, and real-time features.

• Optimize applications for performance, battery usage, resource consumption, responsiveness especially critical in automotive and mobile-to-vehicle contexts. (based on mobile development best-practices)

• Conduct debugging, unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews to ensure high quality, reliability, and robust performance across devices/platforms.

• Prepare applications for deployment app packaging, compliance with store guidelines (App Store / Google Play), release management, versioning, and updates.

• Document code, architecture, APIs and workflows produce clear documentation for maintenance, future development, and cross-team collaboration.

• Work in an agile / cross-functional team environment coordinate with design, QA, backend, embedded, and product teams to deliver cohesive solutions on schedule.

Required Skills & Experience

• 48 years of professional experience in mobile application development, preferably including iOS and Android.

• Swift

• Familiarity with cross-platform or hybrid frameworks (optional but beneficial) such as React Native or Flutter, depending on project needs.

• Solid understanding of mobile application architecture, UI/UX principles, responsive design, and platform-specific UI guidelines (iOS Human Interface Guidelines, Android Material Design or mobile UI best practices).

• Experience integrating mobile apps with backend APIs, RESTful services, third-party libraries, and cloud or backend infrastructure (e.g. to support infotainment features, data sync, etc.).

• Strong debugging, testing, and performance-optimization skills. Experience with unit tests, integration tests, profiling, and code quality standards.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (designers, backend engineers, embedded/infotainment teams), and translate requirements into technical solutions.

• Good communication skills, problem-solving attitude, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic environment.

(Preferred) Additional / Domain-Specific Qualifications

• Prior experience working on automotive-related mobile applications e.g. companion apps for vehicles, mobile-to-vehicle communication, infotainment integration, or related use cases.

• Understanding of vehicle data APIs / SDKs, telematics, connectivity, or backend services tied to automotive / infotainment systems.

• Familiarity with cloud services / backend infrastructure (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud) or mobile-backend integration for data sync, telemetry, or real-time communication.

• Awareness of app store submission requirements, security and privacy considerations especially given automotive usage scenarios.
