Job Description

Key responsibilities

Machine setup: Load parts and select appropriate tools and programs according to blueprints and process sheets.
Machine operation: Start the machining process, monitor the machine's numerical displays, and make adjustments as needed to meet productivity targets.
Quality control: Inspect the first piece produced and finished products to ensure they meet quality and dimensional standards.
Maintenance and troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning, troubleshoot any issues, and coordinate repairs when necessary.
Documentation: Record machine actions by completing production logs, time cards, and other necessary documentation.
Safety and efficiency: Adhere to all safety protocols and work to optimize the machine's performance and the overall production workflow.

Required skills and qualifications

Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and sketches.
Proficiency in operating and setting up HMC machines, often with experience on specific controllers like Fanuc or Siemens.
Attention to detail and precision in measurements and adjustments.
Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with safety guidelines and production procedures.
Strong communication and teamwork skills
