Job Description

To supervise, coordinate and perform a variety of technical and supportive patient care tasks to assist attending anesthesiologist in performing anesthetic procedures for patients. Manage the equipment's inventory & supervise the duties of OT technicians in the operation theatre complex. Mandatory Qualification required is MBBS Job Responsibilities : Assists anesthesia providers using aseptic or sterile technique with non-invasive and invasive patient procedures including peripheral and/or central intravenous and/or arterial line placement; airway management techniques including mask, endotracheal and/or emergency methods; and regional anesthesia techniques. Prepares the instrumentation, supplies and equipment required for the various procedures performed within the area. Maintains integrity of the sterile field, recognize and resolves any breaks in technique. Anticipates the needs of the anesthesiology team to facilitate the smooth and timely flow of the procedure. Prepares room for patient admission on time and cleaning of the operating room according to established protocols. Ensures the efficient and effective cleaning of the operating room according to established protocols. Checks for proper functioning of equipment & ensures all emergency equipment's are in order. Positions patient utilizing proper body mechanics and safety precautions. Assists in the transfer of patients, ensuring that the bed is locked and secure during transfer. Performs proper patient safety measures i.e. safety strap application, protective padding and arm-board placement.
