Hiring Librarian -MLISc Required

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and organized Librarian to manage and support library operations at our Merchant Navy College. The ideal candidate should hold a postgraduate degree in Library Science and have a keen interest in academic and maritime resources. Freshers with strong fundamentals and enthusiasm for library management are welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and organize books, journals, and study materials related to maritime and engineering subjects.
• Maintain library records including book issuance, returns, and cataloging.
• Assist students and faculty in locating learning resources and using digital systems.
• Support the development of the library’s collection by suggesting new titles and subscriptions.
• Maintain a clean, quiet, and student-friendly learning environment.
• Provide basic training to cadets on library usage and digital tools.

Required Qualifications:

• Postgraduate degree in Library Science (M.Lib / M.L.I.Sc or equivalent).
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with library management software.
• A willingness to learn about maritime education and training resources.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
