Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Conduct Machine Safety inspection and following up of actions till closure
Coordinate and conduct Safety inspections with Safety Committee Members & Area In charges etc.
Coordinate with the user department in certifying operators for critical machine like Tyre Building Machine, stacker, tow truck, crane, liner rewinding, etc.
Co-ordinate to convene Safety Committee Meetings, Weekly Safety Review Meetings, Incident Review Meetings etc.
Conduct Induction & other Safety related Trainings for employees, contractors
Report Incident details, HSE statistics, HSE KPI status in the EHS Portal
Ensure Safety Initiatives & Safety Alerts of other plants are horizontally implemented
Ensure upkeep of Area Level EHS Manual, Hazard Identification & Risk Assessments, Aspect Impact Assessments, Operational Control Procedures etc
Review Plant Level & Department level Objectives/KPI and ensure objective management programmes are implemented
Co-ordinate to conduct ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018 Management system Internal Audits and help the Plant Management Representative in tracking the closure of Non-Conformities.
Implement Emergency Response & Preparedness plan. Coordinate to conduct Mock Drills, identify gaps and follow up on the gap closure.
Participate in the incident investigation, determine root cause(s) and suggest corrective measures and ensure actions are horizontally implemented
Monitor work permits issued for high risk jobs. Identify gaps, if any and suggest corrective actions
Oversee the Project Safety aspects and ensure contractors adhere to MRF Safety requirements
Co-ordinate to organize campaigns like National Safety Day, World Environment Day and Road Safety Week etc .
