Role & responsibilities - Review recurring journal entries prepared by staff. Review accrual and prepayment schedules and journal entries. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities and ensure accuracy. General ledger open item clearing along with providing supporting documentation for open items in Blackline. Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the RTR function. Liaise with other departments to ensure proper accounting of all transactions. Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses with client. Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations that impact the RTR process. Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements. Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures in the RTR process. Should have experience in bank reconciliations and Balance sheet reconciliations. Review of SOPs and other process documents and ensuring accuracy. Ensure adherence and meeting the KPIs and SLA. Use the available guidances on USGAAP/IFRS for providing technical support, as and when required Ensure quality in delivering client service by directing daily progress of fieldwork, informing Supervisors of engagement status Follow through on client requests in a timely fashion, and manage expectations regarding the timing of deliverables and reports Supporting the development and management of the relationships with external and internal (EY) clients Preferred candidate profile - CA, ACCA, CPA, B.Com, MBA with 1-6 years working experience in RTR. Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, Oracle, Blackline, WORKDAY (preferrable). Strong understanding of accounting concepts. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and compliance requirements.
