Hiring for Claims Adjuster

Claims Adjuster

As a Claims Adjuster, youll investigate insurance claims to decide if they should be paid, how much should be paid, or if they should be declined. Youll work with policyholders, assess damages, and ensure fair and timely settlements in line with UK insurance regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Investigate insurance claims related to property damage, bodily injury, or liability.
Review police reports, medical records, and damage estimates.
Conduct site inspections and gather photographic or physical evidence.
Interview claimants, witnesses,and experts (e.g., engineers, physicians).
Analyze insurance policies to determine coverage and exclusions.
Prepare detailed reports and recommend settlement amounts.
Negotiate settlements with claimants or their legal representatives.
Identify potential fraud and escalate to internal investigation teams.
Collaborate with legal counsel when necessary.

Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelors degree in business, finance, law, or a related field.
2–5 years of experience in claims adjusting or insurance.
Strong analytical and investigative skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Proficiency in claims management software and Microsoft Office.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases.
Willingness to travel International/Domestic basis requirements

Preferred Certifications (either of below)

CERT CII
DIP CII
AIC (Associate in Claims)
CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter)
