Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Controller

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain financial statements in accordance with

    GAAP

    .
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including accrual entries, reconciliations, and review of financial data.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining

    budgets

    , forecasts, and detailed financial models.
  • Perform thorough

    variance analysis

    , identify trends, and present insights for leadership decision-making.
  • Document all accounting processes end-to-end, including month-end close procedures and related workflows.
  • Identify opportunities to

    build scale

    , improve efficiency, and enhance accuracy through process refinement or incorporation of known tools/automation.
  • Assist with

    Power BI

    report development and contribute to the design and enhancement of

    Executive Dashboards

    .
  • Support integration activities for newly acquired businesses, including tracking

    post-closing deliverables

    , working capital true-ups, and other acquisition-related accounting tasks.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and strengthen internal controls.
  • Participate in ongoing improvements to accounting systems, reporting processes, and operational controls.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 25 years of experience

    in accounting or finance, with exposure to

    GAAP-based reporting

    .
  • Strong understanding of

    GAAP

    ,

    accrual accounting

    , and financial statement preparation.
  • Experience in

    budgeting

    ,

    forecasting

    , and

    variance analysis

    .
  • Working knowledge of ERP/accounting systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Experience or familiarity with

    Power BI

    , dashboards, and data visualization is a plus.
  • Advanced Excel skills

    , including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
  • Strong documentation ability and process-orientation.
  • Clear communicator with excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Hard-working, proactive, and enthusiastic about taking on additional responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with multiple teams.
