Hindi to English Linguist

As a Hindi to English Linguist, your primary responsibility will be to translate video script content accurately from English/Marathi to Hindi while ensuring precision and cultural sensitivity. You will review and adjust machine translations to maintain the original video sentence length. Additionally, conducting in-depth research for unfamiliar terms and industry-specific jargon is crucial to guarantee the accuracy of translations. Your deep understanding of the Hindi language and culture will play a vital role in ensuring that translations are contextually relevant and culturally appropriate. Collaborating effectively with editors to address sentence length issues and modifying translated text to align with machine voice recording length are key tasks to achieve the desired audio output. Your proficiency in English, Hindi, and Marathi is essential for this role. You should be able to accurately translate written and spoken content among these languages while being mindful of the cultural nuances of English, Marathi, and Hindi. Familiarity with regional variations, colloquialisms in Marathi and Hindi, and proficiency in translation tools and software are necessary. Working closely with team members, editors, and subject matter experts is crucial to ensure the accuracy of translations. Being receptive to feedback, continuously improving, implementing quality assurance processes, and updating translation glossaries and style guides regularly are integral parts of this position. The ideal candidate should possess a BA in Hindi or any other bachelor's degree with language proficiency certification.
