Job Description

Role Overview

HIL Test Engineer (Automotive Powertrain Systems)

Required Skills & Qualifications

Develop and maintain Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test systems using dSPACE tools.
Validate automotive powertrain Electronic Control Units (ECUs) and related systems.
Utilize CANoe, ControlDesk, AutomationDesk, and ConfigurationDesk for test execution and system integration.
Create automated test scripts and perform debugging and failure analysis to ensure system reliability.
Integrate MATLAB/Simulink models into HIL benches for comprehensive system testing.

Nice to Have

Experience with Python or CAPL for test automation
Familiarity with vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet)
Knowledge of powertrain systems and automotive standards (ISO 26262, ASPICE)
Hands-on experience with ECU flashing, calibration, and diagnostics
Exposure to version control systems like Git and tools like Jira or JenkinsAnalytical, detail-oriented, and organized work approach.
Assertive, self-motivated, and results-driven mindset.
Ability to handle complex technical issues and propose feasible solutions.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Education

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science/IT/Electronics/Electrical or related engineering field.
