Job Description:
A Track Helper assists in the maintenance, repair, and construction of railway tracks to ensure safe and efficient train operations. The role involves physical labor, inspection, and assistance to senior maintenance staff in track-related work.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in laying, aligning, and leveling railway tracks.
Help replace worn-out rails, sleepers, and fastenings.
Clear vegetation and debris from track areas.
Maintain proper drainage around the tracks.
Carry tools and materials to work sites and assist skilled workers.
Support during inspection and maintenance of track geometry.
Follow safety standards and report any track defects or hazards.
Qualification:
Minimum Education: 10th pass (Matriculation) from a recognized board.
Basic understanding of railway operations preferred.
Physically fit to handle outdoor and manual labor work.
Skills Required:
Physical strength and stamina.
Teamwork and ability to follow instructions.
Basic knowledge of tools and safety procedures.
Work Environment:
Outdoor fieldwork in all weather conditions.
Work may involve travel and shift duties day/night.
