Details on how to contact the Recruitment Service is available on the Supporting Information document.1 x fixed term - 6 months, 37 hours per week, Mon – Thurs 08:00- 16:00 Fri 08:00 – 15:30The post holder will be part of NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde’s Prison Health Care Health Improvement Team and will be responsible for the delivery and ongoing development of Alcohol and Drug Harm Reduction service currently being delivered in the prisons in Greater Glasgow and Clyde.The post holder will deliver a range of health-related trainings to people living in prison through structured sessions on either a one to one or group basis. The post holder will be required to support the promotion of the full suite of programmes delivered by the Prison Health Improvement Team including Quit Your Way cessation services and Mouth Matters Oral Health Improvement service. The post holder will also be required to support the delivery of any other relevant topics identified by service management.The post holder will be expected to operate as part of an extensive multi-disciplinary team delivering a series of Harm Reduction messages including but not limited to Blood Borne Virus and Alcohol and Drugs. We would expect you to establish and maintain strong and effective partnerships with key partner organisations (e.g. ADRS, SDF, voluntary sector and recovery communities) and other Health Improvement staff who can influence and deliver the Health Improvement and Inequalities work streams. The post will be primarily based within HMP Barlinnie but there will be a requirement to work across all 4 prison sites in Greater Glasgow & Clyde health board area.The post requires good organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously. The post holder should have comprehensive knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Office Packages and have a good command of verbal and written English. The post is 37 hours with a shift pattern between Monday - Friday 8.00am - 4.00pm.
