You are applying for the role of a Patient Service Assistant at a Medical Services / Hospital (Diagnostics) company. As a Health Counsellor, your main responsibility will be to be the first point of contact for patients and guide them through their healthcare journey. Your tasks will include engaging with patients via app chat, phone, or video, assisting them in choosing the right doctor or service, coordinating appointments, lab test bookings, and digital prescription tracking. You will also be responsible for ensuring smooth communication between patients, doctors, and labs, maintaining accurate patient journey records, providing empathetic guidance and reassurance, handling patient queries, and escalating any medical or emergency issues promptly. **Key Responsibilities:** - Engage with patients via app chat, phone, or video to understand their health needs. - Assist patients in choosing the right doctor or service (consultation, lab, follow-up, etc.). - Coordinate appointment scheduling, lab test bookings, and digital prescription tracking. - Ensure smooth communication between patients, doctors, and labs. - Maintain accurate patient journey records within the UzuHealth system. - Provide empathetic guidance and reassurance ensuring patients feel cared for and understood. - Handle patient queries about processes, pricing, and platform navigation. - Escalate any medical or emergency issues to the appropriate department/hospital immediately. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelors degree in any stream (Preferred: Psychology, Nursing, Life Sciences, or Healthcare Management). - Strong communication skills in English, Hindi, and Assamese. - Prior experience in healthcare, counselling, customer care, or tele-assistance is an advantage. - Tech-friendly and comfortable using mobile apps and CRM systems. - Compassionate, patient, and organized able to multitask calmly.
