Health Care Assistant

As a caregiver in this role, you will be responsible for assisting patients with various daily tasks to ensure their comfort and well-being. This includes tasks such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming. Additionally, you will provide mobility support by helping patients move around, transfer from bed to chair, and assisting with other mobility needs. Feeding assistance is another crucial aspect of this position, where you will offer support with meals and ensure that patients receive adequate nutrition. Monitoring vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure, will also be part of your duties, with a focus on accurately recording this information. Documentation is a key component of the role, as you will be required to maintain precise patient records, document observations, and promptly report any changes to the healthcare team. Providing emotional support, comfort, and companionship to patients is essential to ensure their well-being. Creating a safe environment for patients is paramount, and you will be expected to keep patient areas clean, tidy, and well-stocked with necessary supplies. Under supervision, you may also assist with basic medical procedures such as wound care, dressing changes, and other related tasks.
