Head - Sustainability / ESG Compliance (Product & Supply chain)

Your role as a Sustainability Product Manager involves a range of responsibilities to drive sustainable practices within the luxury brand. You will be responsible for: - Developing sustainable product strategies aligned with the brand's sustainability vision, integrating practices from design to post-consumer care. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure ethical procurement, sustainable materials, and production processes. - Driving certifications such as Positive Luxury (Butterfly), Cradle to Cradle (C2C), Cruelty-Free, Eco-cert, and others suitable for luxury retail. - Implementing traceability and digital product passport for ESG compliance. - Ensuring product safety and reducing chemical footprint through compliance with MRSL, ZDHC, and other certifications. - Standardizing and optimizing packaging materials to reduce pollutant usage. - Exploring alternative materials and sustainable packaging processes. - Developing artisans and promoting sustainable livelihoods within the supply chain. - Conducting social compliance audits at various levels to ensure ethical business practices. - Implementing ESG practices and reducing GHG footprint at brand and supplier levels. - Monitoring sustainability performance and identifying areas for improvement. - Communicating sustainability initiatives to internal and external stakeholders, fostering transparency. - Building capabilities, conducting awareness programs, and sharing best practices with stakeholders. Your role requires: - Deep understanding of sustainable materials and manufacturing processes, including certifications like Butterfly, C2C, and responsible sourcing practices. - Ability to assess environmental risks and improve sustainability performance. - Excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders across the luxury retail market. - Industry knowledge and familiarity with consumer preferences for sustainable products. Academic Qualifications: - Graduate in Textile/Fashion from a premier institute. - Program on Sustainability/ESG compliance related to product and process.,
