Head of Technical Support Distribution Automation Solutions

As a Global Technical Support Manager for Distribution Automation Solutions, your role will involve leading and managing a team of Technical Support Engineers to ensure high-quality support services and team development. You will collaborate with R&D, product management, and regional business units to drive service excellence across the organization. Your responsibilities include: - Leading a global team of Technical Support Engineers, optimizing team performance and productivity. - Training team members on workplace health, safety, and sustainability practices. - Monitoring and improving performance against defined KPIs. - Implementing short- and long-term strategies as directed by senior management. - Facilitating collaboration between R&D and Technical Support to enhance customer satisfaction. - Involving Technical Support in product development phases to gain early insights into new products. - Ensuring effective information flow between R&D, support lines, product managers, and customers. - Developing and maintaining a comprehensive knowledge base for responsible product areas. - Representing service and support needs within development streams. - Supporting Global Product Groups and sales teams in technical offers and Proof of Concepts. - Planning and delivering product training sessions. - Resolving customer complaints and supporting after-sales activities. Qualifications required for this role include: - Masters or Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field. - Technical understanding of RTU products with knowledge of Protection relays and Wireless communication products. - Experience in customer support services in a technical or industrial environment. - Management experience leading local and remote teams. - Strong communication and leadership skills. - Proficiency in English; German proficiency is a plus.
