Role Overview: As the Head of Secondary Storage Recovery Testing at Deutsche Bank, your primary responsibility will be to own the data recovery testing process and govern the in-scope applications on a periodic basis. You will collaborate with various technology teams to ensure the effectiveness of data recovery testing, reporting, and escalation processes. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and own the data recovery test (secondary storage recovery test) process strategy in collaboration with Infrastructure/Technology Towers, operations, and engineering teams - Work closely with application owners to document backup definitions in the banks central tool - Ensure data recovery tests from backup are executed annually in coordination with application owners - Report the Compliance status of backup scheme definitions and data recovery tests monthly to senior management, 2 LoD IT Risk, and other relevant parties - Report and Escalate non-compliance issues to the CIO-1s of applications that fail data recovery testing - Provide strategic solutions and maintain the roadmap of the Secondary storage function, including tooling enhancements and process changes - Own the UAT testing for tooling enhancements related to data recovery - Identify process gaps and propose solutions to mitigate associated risks - Own or support any audit-related topics related to the function Qualifications Required: - Strong understanding of infrastructure technology, including backup and restore - Proficiency in IT Security and resilience - Comprehensive knowledge across all architectural disciplines (business, data, application, technical, and security) - Experience in the Financial Services industry is desirable - Background in IT Analytics and IT Security is advantageous - Ability to identify process improvement opportunities - Mandatory strong communication skills Additional Company Details: Deutsche Bank promotes a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and empowerment to excel together.
