Role Overview

Head of Production Mobility Division

Key Responsibilities

Production & Operations Management

• Lead and manage daily production activities to meet defined output, quality, and efficiency goals.
• Drive lean manufacturing practices and implement automation and process optimization strategies.
• Ensure adherence to production schedules, minimizing downtime and eliminating bottlenecks.
  

Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with internal quality standards, regulatory norms, and SOPs.
• Partner with the Quality team to address product defects, customer complaints, and process deviations.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen, Six Sigma, and 5S.
  

Team Leadership & Development

• Build and mentor a high-performing production team; promote a culture of ownership and accountability.
• Identify training needs and implement programs to upskill operators and supervisors.
• Uphold workplace safety and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  

Supply Chain & Inventory Coordination

• Work closely with the Supply Chain team to ensure timely availability of raw materials.
• Optimize inventory levels to balance cost control and production requirements.
• Support procurement in vendor performance improvement and material quality assurance.
  

Cost Optimization & Efficiency Improvement

• Monitor production costs, identify wastage, and implement resource optimization strategies.
• Leverage data analytics for production planning and operational decisions.
• Identify automation opportunities to enhance throughput and profitability.
  

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Coordinate with R&D, Product Design, and NPD teams for seamless new product introductions.
• Align production planning with sales forecasts and market demand.
• Collaborate with Maintenance and Engineering teams to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  

Key Requirements

• Education:

  Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience:

  1218 years in production management, preferably in medical devices, rehabilitation aids, or consumer durables.

Core Competencies

• Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
• Deep expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and production planning tools.
• Understanding of regulatory and compliance standards for medical or healthcare products (preferred).
• Analytical mindset with a focus on efficiency, quality, and operational excellence.
