Head of Engineering - Early stage startup

One of our fintech portfolio is looking for a seasoned engineering leader with both technical depth and strategic vision analytical, selfdriven, and equally strong at building and managing to scale a world-class SaaS product.

What will you get to work on

As a member of the core engineering leadership team, you will:

? Work with the founders in co-creating the product

? Build and scale a Product-Led Growth SaaS platform with global reach

? Define the engineering DNA at Osfin processes, practices, and team culture

? Drive end-to-end ownership: from architecture and coding standards to release management, monitoring, and ongoing operations

What do we expect from you

? Hustle! We're young, lean, and in our early days

? Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to build a best-in-class product

? Proficiency in Java/J2EE (Hibernate, Spring, MVC), Mysql, & rest services implementation

? Experience in developing web applications at a startup is a plus

? At least 10 years of experience in software engineering and at least 3 years of engineering management experience.

? You know what high-quality code and software engineering processes are and know how to foster an environment that creates them.

? Execution-focused with an ability to navigate ambiguity, with the ability to do both long-term thinking and short-term planning.

? Experience creating, delivering, and operating multi-tenanted, distributed systems at scale.

? Proven track record of delivering projects that include multiple components from design through implementation and support

? Adhere to and drive modern software engineering practices through design reviews.

? Improve test coverage for services, organise and implement integration tests, and resolve problem areas.

? Consider testability, monitoring, observability, reliability, and maintainability, and understand when code is ready to be shared and delivered.
