Head of AI Engineering & Architecture

We are looking for a founding-caliber AI leader who is not looking for a job, but a venture. You will write the core code, shape the platform architecture, set the engineering standards, and own the technical vision from Day 1.

What You Will Build:

1) Core AI Platform Architecture

• Design and implement the end-to-end AI architecture powering our mortgage automation platform
• Make foundational decisions across orchestration, data flows, storage, compute, and security
• Establish engineering standards for performance, reliability, and maintainability

2) Document Intelligence + Decisioning

• Build systems for document ingestion, classification, extraction, and validation at scale
• Implement decision-ready outputs with strong grounding, citations, and audit trails
• Define evaluation frameworks: golden datasets, regression suites, accuracy thresholds, and error taxonomy

3) LLM + Agentic Workflows

• Integrate, fine-tune, and operationalize LLMs for analysis, exception handling, and compliance checks
• Build autonomous, multi-step agents with human-in-the-loop patterns where judgment matters
• Implement guardrails: policy checks, hallucination controls, and confidence-driven routing

4) Scalability, Security, and Compliance-by-Design

• Build secure, scalable systems suitable for financial workflows (observability, access control, data governance)
• Drive production readiness: monitoring, incident response, latency/throughput targets, and cost controls
• Ensure the architecture is compliant-ready with traceability and defensibility baked in
