Head Fashion Designer - Occassion & Wedding Wear

As the Head Fashion Designer for Weddings & Occasionwear at Tailorworks Company, located in Mayapuri, New Delhi, you will play a pivotal role in leading our wedding and occasionwear division. In this position, you will be responsible for managing a team of designers and collaborating closely with premium clients to create customized bridal and event ensembles. The ideal candidate for this role should possess a solid background in wedding couture, embroidery, and luxury garment construction, along with hands-on experience in catering to high-end clients and crafting exclusive wedding wardrobes. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing the creative direction and styling of bridal and occasionwear collections, translating client briefs into refined sketches, embroidery layouts, and lookbooks, as well as curating bridal trousseaus and complete wedding wardrobes. You will be expected to infuse cultural richness with modern sophistication in every design, ensuring a harmonious blend of traditional and contemporary elements. Furthermore, as part of your role, you will personally engage with clients to comprehend their requirements and vision, offer guidance on fabric, color, embroidery, and silhouette choices, conduct detailed fittings, and manage the entire design journey to ensure that each garment reflects the client's personality and event needs. Additionally, you will be responsible for leading a team of designers and artisans, overseeing construction techniques, fabric selections, and embroidery planning, and maintaining high standards of precision, finishing, and garment structure throughout the design process. To excel in this position, you should have a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in wedding couture or luxury occasionwear, a proven track record in designing for weddings and high-profile events, a deep understanding of Indian couture, embroidery styles, and construction techniques, as well as excellent communication, team leadership, and client relationship skills. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with poise and precision is also crucial for success in this role.
