Qualification & Certifications:

• 10 to 15 years in EHS roles, preferably in electronics or manufacturing environments.
• Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
• Preferred certifications: NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA 30/48, or equivalent local HSE certifications.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 standards (preferred).

• Language Proficiency:

  Telugu (Mandatory) and English.

Job Overview:

EHS Manager will ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant workplace at the Kadapa manufacturing plant by implementing EHS programs, monitoring risks, conducting training, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and company standards. Individual should bring expertise in safety audits, risk assessments, and compliance management. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Safety Management

• Conduct regular inspections on SMT lines, wave solder machines, reflow ovens, and assembly areas.
• Monitor compliance with machine safety standards (LOTO, pinch points).
• Ensure ESD protection systems and grounding practices.
• Perform Job Safety Analysis (JSA/HIRA) for new equipment or layout changes.
• Investigate incidents/accidents and track CAPA.
• Monitor fire safety and PPE compliance.

B. Health Programs

• Monitor indoor air quality and chemical exposure (IPA, acetone, flux).
• Implement ergonomic programs for repetitive tasks.
• Support medical surveillance programs.
• Conduct noise surveys in high-speed SMT areas.

C. Environmental Compliance

• Manage waste streams (solder dross, flux, solvents, e-waste).
• Monitor wastewater treatment and maintain SDS/MSDS.
• Coordinate with certified waste disposal vendors.

D. Cleanroom & Chemical Safety

• Ensure cleanroom safety protocols and chemical storage compliance.
• Inspect fume hoods, cabinets, and ventilation systems.
• Verify emergency equipment readiness.

E. Training & Awareness

• Conduct EHS orientation and training on chemical handling, ESD safety, fire safety, PPE usage, and waste segregation.
• Lead toolbox meetings and safety campaigns.

F. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain EHS records, inspection checklists, chemical inventories, and incident logs.
• Prepare monthly EHS reports and support ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 audits.
