As the Head of Data Engineering and Data Products at Data42, a pivotal role awaits you in designing, building, and maintaining data solutions using Palantir Foundry. By fostering the use of AI/GenAI, you will accelerate high-quality data delivery and democratize access to data and insights throughout the organization. Collaborate with key stakeholders and lead a team of around 50 members to ensure rapid delivery of high-quality data products. Reporting directly to the Global Head of Data42, you will play a crucial role in the success of Data42 as a member of the Data42 Leadership Team. **Key Responsibilities:** - Define the vision for the Data Engineering and Data Products team, staying updated with emerging technologies - Architect, design, maintain, and optimize complex data pipelines to support various data needs - Implement best practices for data ingestion, processing, validation, and storage - Drive the use of automation and AI to enhance data delivery speed and quality - Design, build, and run scalable data product solutions using Palantir Foundry - Establish security and compliance policies for data access and dissemination - Define and track key measurements for data systems and product success - Oversee project planning, delivery, and ongoing support for data engineering and product development - Drive continuous improvement by monitoring system performance and responding to feedback **Qualifications Required:** - PhD or master's degree in computer science or related discipline with over 10-15 years of experience in pharma or biotech - Proficiency in data management, data engineering, and data modeling, especially in designing efficient and scalable data models - Knowledge of CDISC data models/standards and RWD data models/standards - Experience with cloud platforms and cloud-based data and AI/ML solutions - Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive organizational change - Excellent communication skills in English The company, Novartis, is committed to diversity and inclusion, fostering an inclusive work environment and diverse teams.
