Job Title: Head - Client Centricity Engineering

Location: India, Pune

Our Corporate Bank Technology team is a global team of 3000 Engineers (and growing!) across 30 countries. The primary businesses that we support within Corporate Bank are Cash Management, Securities Services, Trade Finance and Trust & Agency Services. CB Technology support these businesses through vertical CIO aligned teams and by horizontals such as Client Connectivity, Surveillance and Regulatory, Infrastructure, Architecture, Production, and Risk & Control.

We are looking for a director to develop and lead our Client Centric solutions across our Corporate Banking business. This commercially minded senior executive will be a hands-on technologist sitting in the Core Platform Technology domain. They need to be business savvy and have a proven track record of successfully navigating large matrix organizations in order implement a desired outcome. Experience with Client channel solutions and payment processing is a plus, however not required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of engineers to develop industry standard automation platform to handle Client Inquiries / Complains / Investigations for our Relationship managers and Operations with a front to back effective solution.
  • Ensure highest quality standards on data by implementing a quality control framework and dashboard
  • Create and drive the roadmap for of the Client Inquiry platform development for engineering teams
  • Work with senior management to ensure investments are properly prioritized and emphasized to deliver expected business outcome.
  • Work closely with Corporate Bank domain architects to ensure appropriate technical architectural consideration is given to platform development.
  • Identify and resolve issues and challenges threatening operational stability
  • Develop a front-to-back development and support model for Inquiry products that ensures a strong customer experience
  • Ensure solution incorporates best-practice modern design patterns and technologies
  • Migrate or build assets on GCP platform according to DBs cloud strategy
  • Develop partnerships with 3rd party software vendors that enhance our Client relationship capabilities.

Skills & Qualifications:

Technology Skills :

  • 15-20 years of technical and functional experience in financial industry app development with technologies such as: Java, React JS, Kafka, AI, Workflow, Cloud, CI/CD, SRE, Dev Ops, Test Automation.
  • Drive innovation through hands-on involvement in the development of new technology platforms and services.
  • Excellent skills in database technologies on prem as well as in the cloud
  • Strong Agile skills with running app dev, Dev Ops, ITAO, Production, SRE squads
  • Champion the adoption of agile methodologies across the technology department.
  • Lead agile teams in the iterative development and continuous improvement of technology solutions.
  • Ensure all technology operations adhere to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Oversee risk management and cybersecurity measures to protect the bank's data and infrastructure.

Stakeholder/Business Management:

  • Ability to create a vision and strategy for the Client Centricity domain to carve a strategy to move from legacy technology to modernized software
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills to work with Global stakeholders
  • Knowledge in Payments services and regulatory requirements
  • Mentor and develop senior technology leaders, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Build and maintain a high-performing technology team through effective recruitment, training, and retention strategies.

Team Management :

  • Experience with people development with respect to training, upskilling, providing right opportunities within India and global squads.
  • Promotes engineering culture and improves productivity amongst India FTE and vendor staff. Grooms and coaches the team providing proper career progression.
  • Dynamic resource management and close collaboration with Client centricity and Payment Investigations global tribe/squad leads.
  • Excellent skills and appetite to maintain risk & control hygiene. Streamline ITAO ( IT Application owners) processes with automation.
  • Mentoring and broader promotion of people strategy activities with in the domain and CB Tech India.
  • Recruits additional talent in a timely manner, grows the team in India with new skills.
