Job Description

As a dynamic and experienced professional, you will lead the Career Services Division at INDIAN INSTITUTE OF ART & DESIGN, New Delhi. Your role involves overseeing all aspects of campus placements, building strong industry partnerships, and providing students and alumni access to diverse and meaningful career opportunities with top organizations. You will strategically enhance student employability and strengthen IIAD's corporate engagement. Key Responsibilities: - Serve as the centralized college representative to the employment community. Conduct research to understand the skills, abilities, and credentials sought by employers for graduates of the school's departments. - Develop and expand the pool of corporate recruiters for campus placements to maximize job opportunities for students and alumni. Maintain an effective employer relationship program through site visits, mail campaigns, and marketing efforts. - Plan campus hiring events such as job fairs to expose students to potential jobs and assist companies in finding suitable candidates. - Provide career counseling to students and alumni, guiding them in defining career options, developing employment skills, and job-search procedures. - Coordinate and conduct employment training workshops, including resume and portfolio preparation, job-search strategies, and mock interviews. Share information about companies hiring in relevant disciplines. - Collect and disseminate placement data, providing statistical and qualitative reports internally and to employers, academic departments, and other necessary parties. Qualifications: - Minimum 10+ years of managerial experience in campus placement and student career counseling. - Preference for candidates with a strong network of companies in creative fields such as graphic/communication design, UX/UI design, advertising, marketing agencies, fashion, lifestyle companies, and interior/architectural firms. - Bachelor's degree required, preferably a Master's degree in a relevant discipline. - Strong interpersonal skills, proficiency in written and oral communication, administrative, leadership, supervisory, and organizational skills are essential. - Demonstrated ability to network, advocate, and engage with recruiters and various institutional and departmental stakeholders.,
