Azure Cybersecurity Architect

Key Responsibilities:

• Security Architecture Design

  : Plan and design security architectures for the Azure cloud environment, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services, aligning with best practices like the Azure Well-Architected Framework and Zero Trust principles

• Policy and Compliance

  : Develop, implement, and enforce security policies and procedures based on regulatory requirements and industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, and HIPAA

• Vulnerability Management and Risk Assessment

  : Conduct ongoing risk assessments, vulnerability testing, and threat modeling to proactively identify and mitigate security risks and gaps in the existing or proposed architecture

• Security Operations (SecOps)

  : Design and implement solutions for security operations, including Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and Security Orchestration Automated Response (SOAR), using tools like Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender

• Identity and Access Management (IAM)

  : Design comprehensive IAM solutions, including Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), multi-factor authentication (MFA), Conditional Access, and securing privileged access

• Incident Response

  : Create and manage incident response plans and lead efforts to investigate and resolve security-related incidents, performing post-event analysis

• Collaboration and Guidance

  : Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and development teams to integrate security into the CI/CD pipeline, and provide technical leadership and training on security best practices to internal teams

• Technology Evaluation

  : Research and evaluate new security technologies and trends to ensure the continuous improvement of the organization's cloud security posture.

Required Skills:

• Technical Skills

  :
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure services and security tools (Azure Firewall, Key Vault, Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender for Cloud)
• Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, KQL) and automation tools (Terraform, Bicep)
• Strong understanding of network security protocols, application security, and data encryption
• Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud environments is highly valued

• Soft Skills

  : Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication skills are essential to effectively communicate complex technical details to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including C-suite executives

• Certifications

  : Relevant professional certifications are highly desirable, including:

• Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert (SC-100)

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500)
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
