Role and Responsibilities:
As a
Guidewire ClaimCenter Developer with CPP Experience
, you will be responsible for:
- Customizing and configuring Guidewire ClaimCenter (CC) to meet business requirements for claims management and the Claims Payment Process (CPP).
- Developing and enhancing the Claims Payment Process: You will work on automating and optimizing the workflow for payment approvals, calculations, disbursements, and tracking to ensure timely, accurate claims payouts.
- Payment Calculation and Validation: Implementing custom logic for calculating payment amounts, applying business rules, handling deductibles, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
- Integrating Guidewire ClaimCenter with external financial systems for seamless payment disbursements, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Working with the business and technical teams to define and implement payment workflows, approval processes, and auditing mechanisms.
- Designing and building APIs or integrations with third-party systems (e.g., banks, payment processors) to facilitate payment transfers and ensure data integrity.
- Ensuring regulatory compliance for the claims payment process by implementing necessary validation checks and generating audit trails.
- Collaborating with Quality Assurance (QA) teams to test the Claims Payment Process, ensuring smooth deployment and functionality across environments.
- Providing post-implementation support, troubleshooting issues related to claims payments, and optimizing performance.
Key Skills And Qualifications
- Guidewire ClaimCenter (CC): Strong experience in developing, configuring, and customizing ClaimCenter for the claims management lifecycle.
- Claims Payment Process (CPP): In-depth knowledge and experience in the Claims Payment Process, including payment calculation, authorization workflows, integration with financial systems, and reconciliation.
- Gosu Programming: Proficiency in Guidewire's scripting language, Gosu, to write custom logic for business rules, payment calculations, and integrations.
- Java: Strong understanding of Java for developing additional integrations or extending functionality where needed.
- C++ (for backend integrations): Experience with C++ programming for backend processing, third-party system integrations, or performance-sensitive customizations.
- Web Services (SOAP/REST): Hands-on experience in building and integrating APIs for communication between ClaimCenter and external systems, including payment gateways, banks, and third-party tools.
- Financial Systems Integration: Experience integrating Guidewire ClaimCenter with financial systems for payment disbursement (e.g., EFT, ACH), reconciliation, and reporting.
- SQL/Database: Familiarity with databases such as Oracle or SQL Server for managing payment data and generating reports.
- Agile/Scrum Methodologies: Experience working in Agile environments and using tools like JIRA for project management.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to address complex technical challenges related to claims payments.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, QA, and external vendors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Guidewire Certifications in ClaimCenter, BillingCenter, or related products.
- Experience with Guidewire Cloud or Guidewire Integration Framework.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of insurance industry best practices and regulations surrounding claims payments.
