Ground Water Modeller

At Mott MacDonald, you will have the opportunity to pursue excellence in your specialism or explore flexible roles across the business, connecting you to a community of global experts who champion your growth and success. **Key Responsibilities:** - Manage complex groundwater projects/components effectively - Demonstrate a good understanding of water-related issues in the environment and mining sector - Utilize excellent data interpretation skills to formulate hydrogeological conceptual models - Construct, calibrate, and process groundwater and contaminant transport models (primarily MODFLOW and MT3D) for various clients and purposes - Develop project-specific data management, analysis, and reporting needs - Handle data gathering/management, query, and analysis effectively - Prepare draft plans/technical reports including tables, metadata, and figures - Utilize knowledge of mapping and management of datasets and analysis techniques to support projects - Develop figures and other deliverables **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree or higher in GIS, Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, water resources, or related field - 6 to 8+ years of groundwater modeling experience, including creating finite difference analysis models and working with GIS file formats - Experience within the environmental consulting industry is a major plus - Proficiency in programming (VBA, Python, or other) - Good knowledge of MODFLOW and Microsoft Office products - Understanding of coordinate systems and projections, troubleshooting technology, and modeling principles - Self-directed, problem solver capable of managing competing priorities At Mott MacDonald, we value work-life balance and offer flexible working arrangements to support our staff.
