We have opening for an Intermediate to Senior Hydrodynamic / Coastal Modeler to join our Canadian water resources team. The location of the position is in Pune, India. As a Hydrodynamic / Coastal Modeler you would support coastal and hydrodynamic modeling projects and report writing. Key Responsibilities: Follow safe work practices and adhere to company and client guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner. Develop numerical hydrodynamic models (MIKE 21, MIKE 3, Delft3D, etc.) to support environmental impact assessments, sediment and contaminant transport, water quality assessments, and risk assessments. Prepare proposals, develop work plans, schedules, and budgets and management of modeling projects/tasks Prepare and deliver presentations of coastal and hydrodynamic investigations to internal and external clients.

Purpose of Job The Senior Pursuits Specialist reports to the Pursuit Team Lead and supports Stantecs pursuit process. This position involves creating sales documents using established tools, guidelines, and templates. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing opportunity response plans, which include outlining activities, deliverables, responsibilities, and milestones. Essential Functions The Senior Pursuit Specialist s core duties and responsibilities fall into four categories: research and analysis, sales material development, opportunity response management, and knowledge and process management. Research and Analysis Assists in tracking and monitoring opportunities with online procurement systems/portals. Conducts client, competitor, and market research to support client and/or opportunity strategy development. Collaborates with the designated account managers and/or Business Centre client managers to develop and document client and/or pursuit acquisition strategies and plans. Collects company data and/or conducts internal/external research appropriate for opportunity response documents and/or strategy development. Sales Material Development Writes and creates graphical elements for sales opportunity response documents such as proposals, qualifications, and presentations. Engages with operations personnel to support the development of sales material. Proofs and edits technical and non-technical documents for consistency. Ensure adherence to standards and templates to present a consistent appearance/ style in compliance with Stantec branding guidelines. Coordinate with the dedicated graphic design team and external vendors as needed. Provide graphics and desktop publishing support when required. Opportunity Response Management Works with designated response team members to develop opportunity response plans in alignment with our M&BD process. Organises and participates in response-related meetings (internal and/or client). Manages the production and submission of response documents within specified response deadlines. Key Responsibilities: Plan, lead, and manage all phases of the river bank protection project, including budgeting, scheduling, execution, monitoring, and closing. Coordinate with government officials, consultants, site engineers, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project specifications and WRD standards. Monitor construction progress and ensure timely completion within quality, cost, and time constraints. Review technical drawings, designs, and work plans; provide on-site technical guidance when needed. Prepare and present regular progress reports, DPRs, MIS, and stakeholder updates. Ensure all environmental and safety norms and regulatory compliances are met during project execution. Manage risk assessment, mitigation planning, and quality control mechanisms. Lead and mentor the project team, ensuring optimal team performance and resource utilization. Liaise with procurement and finance teams for materials, vendor management, and budget adherence. Represent the company in meetings with government bodies and project-related authorities. Qualification Required: Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory . Postgraduate Degree/Diploma in Water Resource Management is preferred . Required Experience and Skills: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in river bank protection or water resource infrastructure projects , with at least 5 years in a managerial role . Strong knowledge of government norms, tendering, execution standards, and contract management related to WRD projects. Excellent communication, team management, and stakeholder coordination skills. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities. Willing to travel to and stay at project locations as required.
