Job Summary: The Associate Estimator is responsible for ensuring efficient vendor communication, effective contract management and diligent bid follow-up. This role also involves contributing to project estimation and various preconstruction activities, ensuring the smooth progression of projects from initial concept to commencement. Job Responsibilities: Including but not limited to Review drawings, specifications, and project documents. Review proposal specifications, change orders, drawings, and contracts. Conduct comprehensive takeoffs to prepare accurate estimates. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure estimates align with project requirements. Analyzing vendor quotes and pricing. Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: (required): Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail. Ability to work within deadlines and manage shifting priorities Clear communication skills with both teammates and customers Comfortable working independently Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook) Nice to Have: (bonus points): Familiarity with AutoCAD Familiarity with construction drawings and specifications. Proficiency in construction estimating software.
