Graphic Designer

Job Title : Graphic Designer Location : Jalgoan Experience : 1 to 5 years in graphic design, preferably in packaging/carton manufacturing. Department : Design / Pre-Press / Packaging Development Role Objective To develop high-quality and print-ready designs for carton packaging, ensuring brand consistency, accurate dielines, and coordination with production for smooth printing and finishing. The Graphic Designer will play a critical role in turning customer requirements and concepts into professional and functional packaging artwork. Key Responsibilities Create and edit designs for folding cartons, corrugated boxes, sleeves, labels, and other packaging materials. Work with marketing or client-provided briefs to develop creative concepts and artwork. Prepare and finalize print-ready files (CMYK, Pantone, spot colors, etc.) for offset, flexo, or digital printing. Develop dielines and align artwork with cutting, creasing, and folding requirements. Collaborate with the pre-press and production teams to ensure color accuracy, file compatibility, and print feasibility. Coordinate with the procurement or customer service team to adapt designs as per client requirements or material constraints. Ensure design compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., barcode, product info, legal declarations). Maintain design archives and version control for repeat and seasonal packaging jobs. Support R&D or packaging development with mockups and 3D packaging visualizations (if needed). Key Qualifications Education Diploma/Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related fields. Experience 1-5 years of experience in graphic design, preferably in a packaging/carton manufacturing setup or pre-press house. Technical Skills Proficiency in design software: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, CorelDRAW (mandatory). Understanding of packaging materials, print processes (offset, flexo), and color models (CMYK, Pantone). Knowledge of dieline creation, bleed, trapping, and other print-related technicalities. Basic knowledge of barcoding, nutritional tables, and statutory declarations (FSSAI, ISO, etc.) is a plus. Familiarity with file formats: PDF/X, AI, EPS, CDR, etc. Behavioral Competencies High attention to detail and precision in layout/design. Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple design projects. Good coordination and communication with internal teams (production, quality, procurement). Creativity with practicality understanding both aesthetics and production constraints.
