Job Description

Graphic Designer (Print & Embroidery)


Key Responsibilities:


Print & Embroidery Design

  • Develop original print artworks, motifs, and embroidery patterns.
  • Create digital placements for embroidery and print applications.
  • Ensure all designs are scalable and production-ready for artisans and printing units.

CAD & Technical Graphics

  • Translate conceptual sketches into precise

    CADs

    with accurate motif placements.
  • Prepare digital renderings of garments to visualize embroidery and print before sampling.
  • Create repeat patterns, borders, and jaal layouts for both embroidery and fabric printing.

Design Development

  • Collaborate with the design team to convert mood boards into surface ornamentation concepts.
  • Ensure embroidery and print graphics align with the collection’s theme, colors, and silhouettes.
  • Maintain an organized archive of motifs, textures, and artworks for future reference.

Production Support

  • Prepare detailed

    tech packs

    and digital files for artisans and vendors (hand and machine-based).
  • Coordinate with embroidery vendors and printing units to ensure accuracy in scale, detailing, and color.
  • Assist in troubleshooting design execution challenges during sampling and production.


Skills & Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in

    Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW

    (knowledge of embroidery CAD software like

    Wilcom

    is an advantage).
  • Solid understanding of Indian embroidery techniques (zardozi, aari, gota, resham, sequins, cutwork, applique) and print processes (digital, screen, block printing).
  • Strong sense of color, motif composition, and Indian textile aesthetics.
  • Ability to deliver detailed, production-ready files under tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with artisans, designers, and production teams.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in

    Graphic Design, Textile Design, Fashion Design

    , or a related field.
  • 2–6 years of experience

    as a Graphic Designer, preferably in luxury ethnic or couture fashion.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing

    print artworks and embroidery CADs

    (mandatory).
