As a Google Vertex AI Search Consultant for E-commerce, your role involves implementing and optimizing AI-powered search solutions to enhance product search experiences on the website. Key Responsibilities: - Implement and configure Google Vertex AI Search for the e-commerce website. - Build and optimize product search experiences through relevance tuning, ranking, filtering, and autocomplete features. - Integrate Vertex AI Search with the existing product catalog, CMS, and backend systems. - Set up real-time or scheduled data ingestion from product databases/feeds. - Enable personalized search results based on user behavior signals. - Collaborate with engineering, product, and UX teams to define search requirements. - Set up Google's AI search tool on the website to ensure accurate and relevant product search results. - Understand the functioning of search mechanisms including indexing, ranking, filters, synonyms, and auto-suggest. - Connect APIs and work with product data (descriptions, images, etc.). - Comprehend online shopping behavior to enhance the search experience. Required Skills & Experience: - Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly Vertex AI Search (formerly Retail Search). - Experience in implementing e-commerce search, product discovery, or recommendation systems. - Knowledge of search concepts such as indexing, ranking, vector search, embeddings, ML-based relevance, synonyms, facets, filters, and search analytics. - Proficiency in APIs, JSON, REST, and integrating search with web applications. - Familiarity with GCP services like BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, etc. - Ability to handle structured and unstructured product data effectively. - Understanding of UX patterns related to search and product discovery. - Strong problem-solving skills and the capability to work independently. Preferred Qualifications: - Previous experience in implementing Vertex AI Search for retail or e-commerce clients. - Background in machine learning, data science, or NLP. - Experience with recommendation engines or personalization systems. - Certification in GCP Professional Machine Learning Engineer or Data Engineer.,
