Job Title:

Job Summary:

Senior Golang Developer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect, design, and develop scalable backend services and APIs using Go.
  • Lead design reviews, code reviews, and architectural discussions.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, DevOps, QA, and front-end developers.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and contribute to team skill-building.
  • Implement best practices in software engineering, including testing, CI/CD, performance tuning, and security.
  • Build and optimize microservices-based architectures.
  • Drive cloud-native development and deployment using platforms like AWS/GCP/Azure.

Must-Have Skills:

  • 8 to 12 years of experience in backend development, with at least 5 years in Golang.
  • Strong understanding of Gos concurrency model, interfaces, error handling, and performance optimization.
  • Solid experience with RESTful and/or gRPC APIs.
  • In-depth knowledge of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong database skills with both SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis).
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Proficient in using CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and logging tools.

Good to Have:

  • Experience with event-driven architecture using Kafka, NATS, or RabbitMQ.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Exposure to GraphQL, OpenAPI/Swagger.
  • Contributions to open-source Golang projects or active GitHub presence.
  • Previous experience in leading agile teams or being a technical lead.
