If you're excited to be part of a winning team, CirrusLabs Description: Job Profile Firewall Management Life Cycle Engineer Business Area: Global Technology Services. Responsibilities Provide operational support for firewalls on multiple platforms across the Client global infrastructure. First responder to monitored alerts, incidents, and issues. Service request fulfilment for firewall global policy and other security extension changes (VPN, IPS, URL Filtering, Application Control, etc.) Perform firewall policy changes, analysis and clean-up as requested by firms. Provide visibility and insight to assist customers with firewall activity and usage information. Follow through with firm and vendor resources to close out availability, performance, and security incidents that involve firewalls in any Client location. Coordinate, triage, and troubleshot activities with customers Accountable for executing tasks according to established standards, procedures, and processes. Able to communicate and work with customers and peers in different time zone and countries. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Must be able to easily analyse and communicate complex ideas to all levels of management. Identify, document, and perform steps required to replace checkpoint hardware with new checkpoint hardware. Identify, document, and perform steps required to replace checkpoint hardware with new Palo Alto hardware. Be primary point of contact leading technical discussions via Teams or Zoom with local IT staff regarding assigned firewall hardware replacements Qualifications 3 to 5 years Number of years of experience is provided as a guideline for hiring managers and represents the amount of experience typically needed to be successful in this role. In-depth knowledge of Checkpoint firewall technologies, including configuration, management, and troubleshooting. Proficiency in configuring various network interfaces and connectivity options, ensuring compatibility with different hardware models. Experience in physically installing and setting up new firewall hardware, including cabling, power management, and initial configuration. (Candidate will not be responsible for cabling but experience or understanding will help communicate expectations to local IT staff who will be doing it during these replacements) Extensive experience in migrating firewall configurations and policies from Check Point to Palo Alto, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal downtime. Ability to assess checkpoint GAIA OS and interface configurations and documenting and executing required steps to replace the device with a Palo Alto Deep understanding of Palo Alto firewall technologies, including configuration, management, and troubleshooting. Strong grasp of network security principles and best practices, ensuring the new firewall setup maintains or enhances the security posture. Excellent problem-solving skills to identify and resolve any issues that arise during the migration process, ensuring a seamless and secure transition. Checkpoint CCSE Palo Alto PCNSE Expert level knowledge of Check Point firewalls including additional blades. Knowledge of Palo Alto and Cisco firewalls Knowledge of LAN/WAN and network protocols Knowledge of monitoring tools and commands to ensure quick resolution to issues. Advanced level skill in firewall policy management Ability to manage support cases with external technology vendors. Knowledge of server technologies is a plus. Knowledge of virtual technologies is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Must be able to easily analyse and communicate complex ideas to all levels of management. Sensitivity and cultural awareness are essential as the role will involve contact with a variety of people around the globe. Discipline and experience in recognizing and handling confidential and sensitive information. Excellent time management and attention to detail is essential.
