Job Description

As a Global Account Manager at Cogent Communications, your role involves identifying and securing new business opportunities globally. You will utilize consultative selling techniques and relationship-building strategies to engage with IT Decision Makers and position Cogent's connectivity solutions effectively. Your success will be measured by meeting or exceeding monthly revenue goals and establishing Cogent as a trusted partner in various sectors. Key Responsibilities: - Sales of Cogent's services to customers worldwide. - Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities within a global sales territory, focusing on market segments requiring IP transit, Wave connectivity, Ethernet, Colocation, and IPv4 services. - Connect with Key Decision Makers through direct calling, email outreach, and customer meetings to generate new business opportunities. - Use consultative sales approaches to understand clients" connectivity needs and position Cogent's services as the preferred choice. - Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met and maintained detailed records of sales activities in CRM systems. Qualifications: - Telesales experience in any industry, preferably with B2B sales experience. - Ability to maintain and build customer relationships to increase Cogent's share of wallet. - Proven ability to identify, qualify, and generate new business opportunities through proactive prospecting. - Strong communication skills, both oral and written, to engage effectively with Key Decision Makers. - Self-motivated, positive, and proactive individual with a passion for adding value to clients. - Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with revenue-driven goals. - Familiarity with CRM systems and basic proficiency in Microsoft Office are beneficial. - Telecommunications experience or knowledge of connectivity solutions is advantageous. - Foreign language skills are an advantage due to Cogent's global sales model. - A university degree in any discipline is required. This position is based in Bangalore, India, and is an in-office role designed to support your success through mentorship, training, and personal coaching.
