GIS Lead

Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership & Delivery

• Lead GIS projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with client and business requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
• Coordinate and allocate GIS resources across multiple projects for maximum productivity.

Technical Expertise

• Work extensively with

  ArcGIS Pro

  ,

  ArcGIS Enterprise/Portal

  , and

  ArcGIS Dashboards

  .
• Implement and manage

  Utility and Pipeline Data Model (UPDM)

  and/or

  PODS

  for pipeline projects.
• Handle

  linear referencing

  , versioning, and complex data management processes.
• Align GIS datasets with engineering records (as-built drawings, alignment sheets) for accurate referencing.
• Perform schema mapping, data integration, and multi-database comparison.

Process Development & Quality

• Design, optimize, and implement standardized GIS workflows and best practices.
• Ensure data calibration, validation, and error correction to maintain accuracy.
• Review and deliver GIS outputs within project timelines, maintaining high quality standards.

Collaboration & Communication

• Act as a bridge between GIS and engineering teams, ensuring seamless integration of deliverables.
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders, including US-based clients, and provide regular project updates.

Innovation & Automation

• Utilize

  Python/ArcPy scripting

  and

  SQL queries

  for automation and data processing.
• Stay updated on emerging GIS technologies and incorporate them into workflows where applicable.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree

  in Geoinformatics, GIS, Geography, or Engineering.

• 7+ years of professional GIS experience

  , with at least

  3 years in a lead/senior role

  .
• Proven expertise in

  ArcGIS Pro

  (4+ years),

  ArcGIS Enterprise/Portal

  , and Dashboards.
• Hands-on experience with

  UPDM

  and/or

  PODS

  data models.
• Strong understanding of

  linear referencing

  , versioning, and geospatial data management.
• Experience in

  data integration, schema mapping

  , and

  multi-database comparison

  .

• Strong leadership and communication skills

  with proficiency in English.
• Proficiency in

  Python/ArcPy scripting

  and

  SQL

  for workflow automation.

Job Details:

• Employment type: Full time/Permanent
• Location: Bangalore (Work from office).
• Working days: 5 days a week (Monday - Friday).
• Candidate as Immediate joiners or available to join within 30 days will be preferred.
