Job Description

Position: GIS Developer with Power BI.

GIS Developer with Power BI expertise

Key Responsibilities

GIS Development

Design and implement GIS applications and services.
Manage geospatial databases ensuring performance and data integrity.
Conduct spatial analysis and create map-based visualizations.
Develop and maintain web mapping services and APIs.

Power BI Reporting

Build Power BI dashboards integrating geospatial and business data.
Use Power Query & DAX for data modeling and transformation.
Embed GIS data into Power BI (e.g., ArcGIS for Power BI).
Ensure dashboard performance, accuracy, and usability.

Skills & Experience

Required

3+ years in GIS development and spatial analysis.
Strong Power BI skills: dashboards, DAX, Power Query.
Experience with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, or QGIS.
Knowledge of spatial databases: PostGIS, SQL Server Spatial.
Understanding of ETL and data modeling.
Strong communication and data visualization skills.

Preferred

ArcGIS for Power BI or similar integration experience.
Scripting in Python, JavaScript, or SQL.
Familiarity with FME, ArcPy, or GDAL.
Cloud experience (Azure, AWS) is a plus.
