Geotechnical Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed

  geotechnical investigations

  , including soil sampling, borehole drilling, and laboratory testing.
• Analyze soil properties and prepare geotechnical reports for port structures.
• Design foundations, retaining structures, and ground improvement techniques based on soil conditions.
• Perform

  bearing capacity analysis, slope stability analysis, settlement calculations

  , and recommend suitable solutions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant IS codes and international standards for geotechnical engineering.
• Collaborate with structural engineers, marine engineers, and project teams for integrated design solutions.
• Provide technical support during construction and monitor ground behavior.
• Prepare documentation and reports for regulatory approvals and project records.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Graduate degree in Civil Engineering (Masters in Geotechnical Engineering preferred).
• 7 to 11years of experience in geotechnical engineering for infrastructure projects (preferably ports, marine structures, or heavy civil works).
• Proficiency in geotechnical analysis software such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio, or similar tools.
• Strong knowledge of IS codes and international standards for soil and foundation design.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in challenging site conditions and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in port or marine infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of ground improvement techniques and deep foundation systems.
• Familiarity with environmental and coastal regulations.
