The role involves structural analysis, design, and planning of hydraulic and WRD civil structures , ensuring compliance with IS codes, WRD guidelines, and project specifications . The ideal candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, economical, and constructible designs. Key Responsibilities: Carry out structural analysis and design of water resource and irrigation structures in line with IS codes and WRD standards Design and plan hydraulic and infrastructure components such as: Dams, weirs, and barrages Canal structures and cross-drainage works Sump wells, pump houses, and intake wells Water retaining and allied civil structures Prepare design calculations, structural design reports, GADs, and reinforcement drawings Develop and support Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), BOQs, and technical documentation for WRD / irrigation projects Coordinate with hydrology, hydraulic, geotechnical, survey, and planning teams for integrated design development Review designs for structural safety, stability, durability, constructability, and cost efficiency Participate in site visits, technical discussions, stakeholder meetings, and design review sessions as required Required Qualifications & Skills: B.E. / B.Tech or M.E. / M.Tech in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering 4 - 5 years of relevant experience in structural design of water resource and irrigation projects Strong working knowledge of IS codes, WRD specifications, and design practices for hydraulic and water retaining structures Proficiency in STAAD.Pro, ETABS, AutoCAD, and MS Excel Experience in DPR preparation, structural planning, and technical documentation Good analytical skills, coordination ability, and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications" Experience on Maharashtra WRD projects , irrigation schemes, or river interlinking projects Understanding of hydrologyhydraulicstructural interfacing Exposure to construction detailing and execution aspects of water resource structures
Key Responsibilities: Geotechnical Design & Analysis Perform detailed geotechnical design and analysis for: Open foundations and pile foundations Retaining structures (Gravity, Gabion, Cantilever, Counterfort, Buttress walls) Shoring systems and reinforced earth structures Embankments, pavements, and slope stabilization works Carry out advanced analysis in compliance with IS Codes, IRC Codes , and relevant international standards where applicable. Engineering Deliverables Prepare and review: Design calculations and analysis reports Technical reports and design notes Drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) Ensure accuracy, quality, constructability, and timely delivery of all engineering outputs. Review & Coordination Review geotechnical designs, drawings, and reports prepared by: Internal teams Vendors and sub-consultants Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (structural, highway, marine, construction) for integrated project execution. Site Investigation & Client Interaction Assist in planning and supervision of ground investigations . Recommend suitable ground improvement techniques based on soil conditions and project requirements. Participate in technical meetings with clients, consultants, and statutory authorities (online and in-person). Leadership & Mentorship Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior geotechnical engineers. Support Senior/Principal Engineers in project delivery and decision-making.
